One of those nights

It's one of those nights
Where I'm buried deep under the covers
With all the lights turned on bright
And all the doors opened wide
So I can see outside
The heat's down low
And the moon's shining in through my window
Still, I can't feel my nose or even my toes
'cause I've gone numb
And the cold's seepin' in through all my bones
The nightmares feel so real
And dawn seems so surreal
Shadows veil every color in my vision
And the echoes of all my hollow screams are all I can hear
It's one of those nights
(those nights)
One of those nights...
Tonight's one of those nights
I'd rather be awake
And feeling not quite so bared and scared
With the day outside
And all this dark tucked away
But it's one of those nights
And I'm all alone (all alone)
The sky's as dark as the memories I carry around ('round)
And all the black thoughts that keep me bound (bound)
Oooh, it's one of those nights alright
Even when sleep's been long forgotten
And the nigh'mares have faded away
The tears still linger on my tongue
Filling my mouth with their vile contingency
And, oooh, the fear's still lurkin' around ('round)
It's one of those nights
Where the slightest sound drives me crazy
And the door to imagination closes on paranoia
Every tear shines like a super nova
And every light flickers like a flame
Ooooooh, it's one of those nights

Burn The Past
Hold my hand and lead me through this,
Hold my heart and save me from the pain,
Hold my lungs and keep me from the toxicity,
Grab my bags and take me to that old street,
Grab all the candles and keep them lit all night,
Grab all the cd's and put them on repeat,
Grab some drinks and lets make a toast,
Grab that lighter and burn that past away.

Sometimes, the smallest things in life become the most important to you, and sometimes it doesnt.

Better Life
I think this would be a better life,
If I could see your face once more,
O you bitter friend of mine,
What a world! What a world! The way that this will end,
May just be round the bend,
But o! The pity,
But o! The strife,
I think this would be a better life.
